A Love Note To Hardware Upgrades

I’ve always heard that hardware is one of those inexpensive changes that makes a big impact, but I’ve never actually done it. Until now!

I’ve installed this sweet little flamingo for our coat closet:

And I’ve ordered little sleeping fox pulls/knobs for my 15-month old son’s room (he has accordion closet doors). I’d seen them on Anthropologie before, but they’ve since sold out. Fortunately for you, this sent me down a rabbit hole of internet searching for knobs and pulls and I’ve resurfaced with some awesome options that don’t even scratch the surface of what’s out there.

I could wax poetic about each one of these beauties, but I won’t because it would be pure self-indulgence. So instead of a paragraph about each of them, how about a few quick words on some that I’m really feeling:

For our home, I’m contemplating a few in the third row for the main floor’s bathroom and the accordion entry closet. There’s a good amount of walnut on the main floor so the center two could tie in really nicely while adding a bit of personality. They’d also stand out against the silver hardware that I’m not considering replacing in the bathroom.

Also, how cute are those brontosaurus pulls at the bottom? They would look so cute in a little kid’s room! The one on the left of the dinosaur feels so industrial and hardcore, but the brass really softens it in an unexpected way. It’s just such a great juxtaposition.
