Happy Fri-Yay

I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes over here, both making movement on some already-started projects and thinking through how to bring all my ideas to life for this blog and for our home.

PROJECT PLANNING:

I mocked up mood boards for every room in the house and I’m so excited to make them happen. Side note: I have wayyyy too much fun making mood boards. Whenever I work on them, it is so hard not to let that be the only thing I work on all day, and the next day, and the day after that…

ORGANIZING PROGRESS:

A few weeks ago, I reorganized the linen closet but had to put a pin in the project when I realized that my favorite shelf liner is way too busy for this closet. Thanks to a trip to the Container Store this week, I found a new paper that I think is working much better. Pics to come!

FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK:

This Camisole Hanger: When I was at the Container Store, I picked up this awesome little camisole hanger that is saving me a TON of closet space (and freeing up quite a few hangers, too!).

Fresh Flowers: In the “things I always forget” category, I was reminded how much I love fresh flowers around the house. I usually find a reason to talk myself out of buying them but last Saturday, I picked up two bouquets and they’ve been blooming all week in the kitchen and bringing a smile to my face.

LOVEVERY Play Kit: Our new play kit arrived last night and, per usual, I had such a hard time waiting for it to get here. This one is has a sink that recycles running water and I’m so excited. Benji is obsessed with playing with running water, but the Californian in me cringes at the waste when he plays at the sink for as little as five minutes—never mind the 30 or 40 minutes he actually wants to spend on this activity. I’m know there are other toys I was looking forward to in this kit, but the thought of this sink has had me checking on the shipment tracker everyday this week.
